Cirugía general y torácica
At Children's Health℠, we provide a streamlined approach when caring for newborns, including micro-preemies, through to adolescents.
From appendicitis to chest wall tumors to trauma, our pediatric surgeons are the leading experts in highly specialized areas such as head and neck surgery, non-cardiac thoracic surgery, abdominal and gastrointestinal surgery, ontological surgery as well as genitourinary surgery. Many of these procedures are now performed with minimally invasive surgery.
Your child will receive surgical care that is found in only a handful of hospitals in the nation. Children’s Medical Center Dallas is a Level I designated hospital by the American College of Surgeons Children’s Surgery Verification™ Quality Improvement Program, making us among five in Texas and one of 53 in the country to receive this verification, which is the highest level of distinction that a pediatric hospital can receive. Children’s Medical Center Plano is a Level II designated hospital and is the first to achieve this distinction in North Texas. Children’s Health is the first and only pediatric health system nationwide to achieve Level I and II designations at multiple sites.

As a physician myself, I am familiar with all that can occur during and after an operation. The team at Children’s Health was so kind, answered all our questions and provided safe and thorough care for my son. We know it was the right decision.
