Usmaan Ahmad

Senior Vice President, Strategy and Business Development

Usmaan Ahmad serves as Senior Vice President, Strategy and Business Development for Children’s Health℠. In this role, he partners with systemwide executives to lead growth initiatives, strategic planning, service expansion, access improvement and acquisition targeting. He also identifies opportunities to elevate the national standing of key service lines and clinical programs.

Prior to joining Children’s Health in 2020, Usmaan led strategic growth and performance improvement programs with medical centers across the nation both as a consultant and hospital administrator, including Vice President of Strategic Development for University Health System in Shreveport, LA.

Usmaan graduated from California State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration. He also earned a Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Administration from Baylor University.
