Clayton Smith serves as Senior Vice President, Facilities Management for Children’s Health℠.
In this role, he supports operations for Engineering, Environmental Services and Security and helps lead existing facilities in the Dallas Market while contributing to the development of enterprise-wide facilities plans.
Clayton joined Children’s in 2019 as Senior Director of Engineering and was later appointed Vice President, Facilities Operations.
Over the span of 25 years, Clayton has led a career focused on construction and operational leadership. Before Children’s Health, Clayton served as Senior Director, Facilities & Support Services for Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida. He was an adjunct professor for Owensboro Technical Community College in Owensboro, Kentucky, from 2014 to 2016.
Clayton is a fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives and a Certified Healthcare Facility Manager. He was honored with the Supplier Diversity Award by Facilities and Support Services for four consecutive years from 2015 to 2018.
Clayton graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management from Missouri State University and received his MBA from Webster University.
