Robert Fries

Chief Financial Officer

Robert Fries serves as Chief Financial Officer for Children’s Health℠. In this role, Robert leads the development and execution of the system's financial strategies, designed to drive the achievement of financial goals while increasing operating performance.

Before joining Children’s Health in 2020, Robert served as the Vice President of Children's Services Finance and Chief Financial Officer at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals in Oakland and San Francisco, CA. Prior to UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals, he served as VP, Strategic Financial Planning & Decision Support for SCL Health, following roles at ECG Management Consultants and University of Colorado School of Medicine as the associate dean, finance & administration.

Robert is a graduate from University of Wisconsin – Madison with a Bachelor of Science in economics. He also holds a Master of Health Administration in finance and strategy from Saint Louis University.
