Sue Schell serves as Senior Vice President, Behavioral Health for Children’s Health. In this role, she leads our Behavioral Health programs, focusing on growth, outcomes, network influence and integrated care.
Throughout her decade of service at Children’s Health, Sue has worked to make behavioral health care a part of everyday health care. She has brought her clinical training and background in managed care to develop programs and policy to increase access to behavioral health services for our community.
She led our award-winning School-Based TeleBehavioral Health program for several years and established an integrated behavioral health and pediatric training program for primary care providers, bringing mental health to the forefront for thousands of Texas children.
Before joining Children’s Health in 2014, Sue served in national leadership roles in two different managed behavioral health companies. She earned a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology at Xavier University in Ohio and is a Licensed Professional Counselor.
