Biography
Cheryl D. Holihan, CPNP-AC/PC, is a board certified pediatric nurse practitioner at Children’s Health℠ who cares for children with ear, nose and throat conditions.
Holihan is certified in acute pediatric care through the University of Texas at Arlington. She earned a master’s degree in nursing and primary care (pediatric nurse practitioner) from the University of Minnesota. She earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Wichita State University.
At Children’s Health, Holihan skillfully manages the care of her young patients before and after surgery in the Otolaryngology department. She provides inpatient and emergency consultation services. She also cares for patients who need tracheostomy, a surgical procedure to create an opening through the neck into the trachea, or windpipe. She is certified in pediatric advanced life support, as well as basic life support.
Holihan is also experienced in the care of patients with cleft and craniofacial anomalies and hemangiomas and vascular malformations.
As a pediatric nurse practitioner, Holihan also cares for patients in the pediatric intensive care unit. She has a strong passion for helping children and families with serious health care needs.
Holihan has co-authored several publications, including articles about pediatric craniofacial surgery and the treatment of newborn ear malformations.
