b'CARDIAC NEURODEVELOPMENTAL PROGRAMThe Cardiac Neurodevelopmental Program provides education, intervention, assessment and support for all cardiac patients to help them reach their full potential.Inpatient Services We offer developmental support to help reduce stress on infants and nurture an environment where our patients can reach key milestones. Our weekly rounds in the cardiac intensive care unit (CICU) educate staff on interventions that enhance our approach to family-centered care.Inpatient developmental care interventions: Caregiver holding, skin-to-skin contactTherapy consultations (including occupational therapy, physical therapy andspeech-language therapy) Patient positioning Environmental modifications (light and sound) Oral stimulationOutpatient ServicesWe closely monitor our cardiac patients developmental, cognitive, emotional and behavioral milestones.
