Biography

Ryan Bishop, M.D., is a Pediatric Cardiologist at Children’s Health℠. He specializes in fetal and echocardiographic imaging, with clinical interests in transthoracic, transesophageal and 3D echocardiography.

“I am passionate about harnessing cardiac imaging innovation to improve the diagnosis and care of children with heart disease,” Dr. Bishop says. “I also care deeply about providing supportive prenatal cardiac counseling that helps families develop a strong understanding of their baby’s congenital heart disease diagnosis.”

Dr. Bishop earned his medical degree from McGovern Medical School in Houston. He then completed his pediatric residency at UT Southwestern, followed by a pediatric cardiology fellowship and advanced cardiac imaging fellowship at Texas Children’s Hospital / Baylor College of Medicine.

Dr. Bishop’s research interests include predicting clinical outcomes from pediatric and fetal echocardiography, echocardiography quality improvement, and AI echo model development.

Outside of work, Dr. Bishop enjoys exploring the outdoors with his family, from neighborhood walks to cycling the trails around Dallas.
