Children's Health℠ offers both pediatric pulmonology and psychological services for children up to age 18 in DeSoto.

Our care team includes pulmonary physicians who are board certified in both pediatrics and pulmonary medicine and have specific training to diagnose and treat children with respiratory conditions, whether common or complex.

Behavioral Health Integration and Guidance (BHIG) initiative

Children’s Health is committed to making life better for children by creating greater access to wellness resources across our community. Mental and behavioral health are important components to overall wellbeing as children grow and learn.

The BHIG Initiative empowers pediatric practices to support youth with low- to moderate-acuity mental and behavioral health needs. This is a no-cost program that is designed to help primary care providers make life better for many children in Texas.

As a parent, if you are seeking outpatient psychiatric, psychological, and/or behavioral health support for your child, contact your child’s primary care provider to inquire about BHIG. If your provider is not a part of the BHIG Initiative, they can learn more and sign up here.

Appointments with one of the BHIG providers require a referral from your child’s primary care provider. Please reach out to your primary care provider for a referral.
