Dallas student volunteer program
Children's Health invites high school students who are interested in volunteering in the hospital setting the opportunity to apply for our summer VolunTEEN Program. Serving others as a VolunTEEN provides a very rewarding experience, personal growth, and an opportunity to give back to the community. VolunTEENs will serve in a customer service patient experience volunteer position.
2026 Summer VolunTEEN Program - Dallas
Applications will open Monday, March 2nd at 8 a.m. and close Friday, March 13th at 5 p.m.
Applicants will be notified of acceptance by Friday, April 3rd.
VolunTEEN Requirements:
Applicants must be 16-19 years old as of June 1, 2026
Applicants must be currently enrolled in high school in the DFW area
Applicants must be interested in serving in a customer service/patient experience volunteer position in a hospital setting
Attendance is mandatory every week for the full four-week session. Please only apply to a session if you can guarantee attendance for all four weeks.
VolunTEEN Uniform: VolunTEEN polo shirt, khaki or black pants, closed-toed shoes, and volunteer badge. VolunTEEN polo shirts and volunteer badges will be provided on the first day of your session.

2026 VolunTEEN Session Dates
June 1, 2026 - June 26, 2026
July 6, 2026 – July 31, 2026
Students will attend one four-week session, volunteering 1 day a week for 7 hours-totaling 28 hours for the full program.
VolunTEEN Shifts:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday
9:30am - 4:30pm
2026 VolunTEEN Career Fair- Date TBD
Students will have the opportunity to attend our Career Fair and gain insight into various jobs and career paths in the hospital setting.
Required Health Records:
Proof of MMR vaccination series (two doses) or positive blood titer
Proof of Varicella vaccination series (two doses) or positive blood titer
Proof of current Tdap or Td received within the past 10 years (DTap will not be accepted)
Proof of Hepatitis B vaccination series or positive blood titer
Please note that Children’s Health is not able to accept school health records.
