Biography

William Strand, M.D., is a urologist at Children's Health℠ who specializes in surgical and medical conditions of the male and female urinary tract and reproductive system. Dr. Strand provides circumcision, laparoscopic surgery, endourology (minimally invasive techniques used to examine the urinary tract and perform surgery), orchidopexy (surgery to move an undescended testicle (UDT) into the scrotum) and reconstructive urology.

He earned his medical degree from Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine in Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. Strand completed his surgical internship at the Naval Regional Medical Center, San Diego, California. He completed his urology residency at the National Naval Medical Center, Bethesda, Maryland. Dr. Strand completed his pediatric urology fellowship at Children's Memorial Hospital (Northwestern University Medical System), Chicago, Illinois.
