Thomas Walter Deacon, MD $$

Thomas W. Deacon, M.D., is a pediatrician at Children's Health℠. He regularly performs health and wellness screenings, provides immunizations, tracks children’s physical, emotional and social development, and diagnoses and treats illness, injuries and other health conditions that affect babies, adolescents and teens.

Previously, Dr. Deacon was a physician at Pediatrics Southwest.

He is a graduate of the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where he completed medical school. Dr. Deacon completed his pediatric internship and pediatric residency at the Children’s Hospital of Oklahoma in Oklahoma City. He earned his board certification in pediatrics in 1990 and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

I am blessed to be able to build relationships with children and their families, and I hope to make a positive impact by striving to provide excellent medical care for my patients.

Prior to medical school, Dr. Deacon received his undergraduate degree in chemistry with a minor in biology from Southwestern University in Georgetown. He worked as an immunology research assistant at both M.D. Anderson Cancer Center and Baylor College of Medicine.

Dr. Deacon is dedicated to treating every patient and their family in the same way he would want for his loved ones. He’s passionate about keeping kids healthy and helping them grow into healthy young adults.

In his free time, Dr. Deacon likes hiking and enjoying the outdoors with his wife.
