Biography
Nazima Zakhidova, M.D., is board-certified in general pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics. She treats infants through young adults at Children’s Health℠. She is passionate about delivering evidence-based medicine and a family-centered approach to care.
Dr. Zakhidova provides well-visit exams, acute care treatment, and sports physicals. She helps families navigate the different phases from childhood through young adulthood. “My goal is to see your child grow up healthy and happy. It is important to me to work together to achieve that goal.”
Dr. Zakhidova listens carefully, answers questions and addresses patient and family concerns. “I strive to get to know each child and work to create a comfortable experience for them.” Those she treats say she takes the time to explain any diagnosis or issue and recommends the best course of action.

Dr. Zakhidova completed her Bachelor of Arts in biochemistry and cell biology at Rice University in Houston, Texas. She earned her medical degree and completed her pediatric residency program at the University of Texas Health Science Center School of Medicine in San Antonio, Texas.
Dr. Zakhidova spent several years working as a pediatrician in California, then relocated back to Texas. She says she looks forward to building long-lasting relationships with her patients and families.
In her free time, Dr. Zakhidova is Zumba certified and enjoys dance instruction and practice. She also enjoys international travel and cultural immersion.
