Biography
Mark Towns, M.D., is a pediatrician at Children's Health℠. He specializes in health and wellness screenings, emotional and social development support, immunizations and treatment for chronic and acute illnesses for children from birth through adolescence.
Before joining Children’s Health, Dr. Towns was a physician at Pediatrics Southwest, where he was a founding member.
He is a graduate of the UT Southwestern Medical School. Dr. Towns completed a pediatric internship and pediatric residency at Oklahoma Children’s Memorial Hospital in Oklahoma City. He received three board certifications in 1988, 1995 and 2002 and is a Fellow of the American College of Pediatricians.
Dr. Towns has dedicated his nearly 40-year career, which has also included emergency services, to providing the care children need for their proper growth and development.
As a pediatrician, I believe my most important function, as well as my greatest privilege, is to assist parents in keeping their children healthy.

Dr. Towns lives in Midlothian with his wife of over 40 years, Lauri, a registered nurse. When he’s not working, he enjoys spending time with his three adult children and their families.
