Biography
Laurie K. Huynh, Au.D.,CCC-A is a clinical audiologist at Children’s Health℠ who cares for children of all ages with hearing disorders.
Audiologists specialize in providing diagnostic and rehabilitative services for patients with hearing and balance disorders. They work closely with ear, nose and throat physicians (otolaryngologists) to care for the medical causes of hearing problems.
Dr. Huynh earned her Doctorate in Audiology from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, in 2006. She also earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Florida. She has been a faculty associate at UT Southwestern since 2008.
Dr. Huynh has extensive clinical experience in the evaluation and diagnosis of patients with hearing issues. She uses a variety of testing methods to detect hearing loss in babies and young children, which includes behavioral audiometry, visual reinforcement audiometry, conditioned play audiometry and auditory brainstem response evaluation in addition to immittance testing and otoacoustic emissions. Dr. Huynh has prior experience with vestibular testing, hearing aids and intraoperative monitoring.
Dr. Huynh is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
Dr. Huynh speaks fluent English and Korean.
