Kenosha F. Hobson, M.D., Ph.D., is a pediatrician at Children’s Health℠ specializing in general pediatrics. She cares for her patients from newborn through high school as they grow and develop to be their best selves. She provides care through well-checks and sports physicals. Dr. Hobson also practices evidence-based care in managing minor illnesses and chronic conditions affecting children’s physical, social, mental and behavioral well-being.

Dr. Hobson received her medical degree from The University of Kansas School of Medicine-Kansas City and completed her residency training at The University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita. After residency, she practiced for seven years in rural Kansas, providing broad-spectrum pediatric medicine in general pediatrics, newborn, level II NICU care and inpatient pediatrics.

Before medicine, Dr. Hobson received a Ph.D. in chemistry with a focus on biochemistry and thermodynamics from the University of Mississippi. Following her doctorate, she completed her postdoctoral research fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in Pittsburgh, PA, focusing on oral and cervical cancers associated with the human papillomavirus (HPV).

Dr. Hobson finds great joy in caring for her patients and providing a haven for them to receive their medical care while being a support for their parents. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends and being involved with her church, serving others, and enjoying the arts and other cultural experiences.
