Biography
Jenna H. Jones, Au.D., is a clinical audiologist at Children’s Health℠ who cares for children who have hearing loss and balance disorders.
Audiologists specialize in providing diagnostic, rehabilitative and other services for conditions that affect hearing and balance. They use tests to diagnose and treat these problems using techniques such as hearing aids, balance therapy or hearing rehabilitation. They also work closely with ear, nose and throat physicians (otolaryngologists) to care for the medical causes of hearing problems.
Dr. Jones earned her doctorate of audiology in 2011 at Central Michigan University. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in communication sciences and disorders at Saint Cloud State University in Minnesota.
As a clinical audiologist at Children’s Health and a faculty member at UT Southwestern, Dr. Jones provides comprehensive care for adults and pediatric patients to assess and treat problems with hearing and balance. She performs vestibular and electrophysiological procedures including electronystagmography/videonystagmography, vestibular-evoked myogenic potentials, electrocochleography, video head impulse testing, rotational chair, platform posturography, unsedated auditory brainstem response testing and otoacoustic emissions. Dr. Jones also has experience in cochlear implant evaluations and the fitting and reprogramming of hearing aids.
Dr. Jones serves as a faculty associate at UT Southwestern. She also serves as audiology coordinator at UT Southwestern Moncrief Medical Center at Fort Worth and works in the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.
Dr. Jones is an active member of several professional groups, including the American Academy of Audiology and the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
