Biography
Annette Whitney, M.D., is a pediatric gastroenterologist at Children’s Medical Center Plano. She earned her medical degree from University of Texas Health Science Center followed by her residency and fellowship at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia.
Following her training, she returned to Dallas where she has been practicing as a gastroenterologist for 17 years. Dr. Whitney specializes in treating pediatric acute and chronic diseases such as Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), eosinophilic enteritis and celiac disease.
Dr. Whitney is passionate about patient education and care for children with chronic gastrointestinal (GI) diseases. Through numerous board and committee memberships, she works to help improve the quality of care delivered to patients. Dr. Whitney is also an active participant in organizations that help pediatric patients transition to adult care.
