DALLAS (December 23, 2013) – Children’s Medical Center announced its 2013 Christmas is for Children radiothon raised more than $1 million for the nation’s fifth-largest, not-for-profit pediatric hospital. The annual four-day event is supported by CBS Radio and broadcast on  98.7 KLUV and  La GRANDE 107.5  FM from the Seacrest Studio located in the hospital.

DALLAS (Dec. 19, 2013) – Children’s Medical Center has announced it has engaged Dallas-based, non-profit research and development firm PCCI on two new projects aimed at keeping children healthier, using state-of-the-art predictive modeling and networking technologies.

DALLAS (Dec. 3, 2013) – The Children’s Medical Center neonatal/pediatric Transport team has been awarded the Neonatal and Pediatric Transport Award of Excellence by the National Association of Air Medical Services (AAMS). The Award of Excellence is one of the most distinguished awards presented in the field of specialty air medical services. It recognizes significant contributions to the overall enhancement of neonatal/pediatric transport patient care.

DALLAS (Dec. 2, 2013) – Children’s Medical Center was named a 2013 Enterprise HIMSS Davies Award of Excellence winner by the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS). The Nicholas E. Davies Award recognizes excellence in the use of health information technology, specifically the use of electronic health records (EHR) to successfully improve the delivery of health care and patient safety while still achieving a demonstrated return on investment.

DALLAS (Dec. 2, 2013) –The Rees-Jones Foundation has pledged $18.9 million to Children’s Medical Center to establish the Rees-Jones Center for Foster Care Excellence at Children’s Medical Center, the state’s first center dedicated to the advancement of health for children in the foster system.
